About the opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Communications, this is an influential position that works closely with leaders across the business and needs a professional who values relationships, brings a service ethic and a real commitment to excellence in all they deliver.
The Senior Advisor Communications and Media’s role is developing and delivering a comprehensive approach to media, proactively identifying media opportunities, and developing strong public-facing communications.
You will be our internal wordsmith, writing engaging content across all styles and genres and supporting internal clients to deliver high-quality communications. You will raise the profile of the Trust and tell a real story for our community about how the Trust is making a difference to people’s lives in delivering our vision.
You will support the General Manager Communications to develop and implement the Trust’s media, PR, and internal and external communications strategy.
To be successful in this role, you will have developed your external and internal communications capabilities across a variety of senior advisory roles within the commercial sector.
People-focused, collaborative, and an exceptional communicator – in writing and orally - you will be energetic and passionate have a proven track record in proactively managing reputation.
You will have agility, personal energy, and drive to get things done. You will value the cultural identity of Tairāwhiti, including an ability to understand or desire to learn te reo māori me ona tikanga.
