Proposed Eastland Network sale

On 23 June 2022, Eastland Group and Trust Tairāwhiti announced a plan to sell Eastland Network. An initial letter was sent to every household in the region to inform beneficiaries about the proposed sale and rationale behind the decision. 
Community engagement and feedback was open from 16 August - 14 November. 
On 22 November 2022 Eastland Group and Trust Tairāwhiti announced the sale of Eastland Network to Firstgas Group, owned by Igneo Infrastructure Partners, for $260 million.
