The projects and initiatives all demonstrated strong alignments with the Trust's wellbeing framework, He Rangitapu He Tohu Ora, and applicants will capture data to report on the impacts of the funding.

Outward Bound Trust of New Zealand will receive $10,000 towards the costs for 14 local high school students to attend its 21-day programme exploring the bush, mountains and waterways of the Marlborough Sounds.

Brain Injury Association Gisborne was granted $10,000 towards wages and operations to support those with head injuries, and their whānau, to continue living a life they"ll enjoy.

Road Safety Education Limited received $7000 towards road safety and youth development for young drivers in Tairāwhiti.

Other projects supported include:

  • Harry Barker Sports Facilities Trust received $10,000 towards a security fence.
  • Te Aroha Kanarahi Trust awarded $10,000 towards their mana-aki Matakaoa SIQ connectivity hardware.
  • Gisborne Woodturners Group will get $5000 towards equipment upgrades.
  • Gisborne Business and Professional Women will receive $7500 towards their national conference being held in Gisborne later this year.
